2nd Generation owners Ryan Scott and Adam Stewart

Our Mission is to be the landowner’s first choice in forestry services and products.

Scott and Stewart Forestry Consultants was established in Antigonish, Nova Scotia in 1985 to serve woodlot owners and the forest industry. We have grown to be one of the largest non-industrial forest management firms in Atlantic Canada employing 50+ full time employees and over 200 seasonal workers.

We offer a broad range of cost competitive forestry services to our customers from management planning, to specialized harvesting, to seedling production and a wide variety of silviculture treatments.

At Scott and Stewart Forestry we all work together to provide a safe working environment for employees, customers and the visitors to our work sites. We maintain certification by the Forest Safety Society and by the Nova Scotia Safety Council.

For over 40 years we have been involved in environmentally focused forestry in Nova Scotia and across Atlantic Canada. In the beginning with manual crews and chainsaws carrying out selection harvests on private woodlots to today in 2026 using specialized equipment to implement ecologically based silviculture treatments and harvests.

We strive to work in an environmentally sustainable and responsible manner to improve our customer’s woodlands now and for the future. We have received several environmental awards from the forest industry.

To meet our customer’s needs we are pleased to offer the services of professional foresters, forest technologists, geographic information specialists, horticulturalists and a team of professional forest workers.
